One Year and Cake Smash Session

web1One Year & Cake Smash Photo Session: Session fee $150

One whole year, time has flown bye and the fun is just beginning. Your quiet little newborn is now getting ready to walk and talk. Come celebrate that start of this new adventure with the Cake Smash Session. Cake Smash sessions are a very popular way to help celebrate a child’s 1st Birthday. Because there is a lot involved in a Cake Smash session the session cannot be combined with any other type of session in order to hold the attention of the child.  The session will revolve around the birthday child only, no family or sibling poses can or will be included. It will include 45 minutes to an hour in my home studio or in your home. There will be 15-30 images in a gallery to choose from. You will receive 2 8×10’s with this purchase (see print pricing for further items). (If only Cake Smash $75 you will receive 4-10 images to choose from)

**You are responsible for bringing the cake**

How a Cake Smash Session works:

  • 2 outfits are HIGHLY recommended for any given Cake Smash Session.
  • If doing both portraits and Cake Smash, I will start off with the portraits of the Birthday Child in their first outfit. We will shoot this portion of the session quickly so we save the child’s attention for the cake smash.
  • After the portraits are shot, I’ll ask that you change the child into the 2nd outfit for the cake. Great 2nd outfit choices are plain white onesies, baby jeans and no top, colored diaper covers, tutus or diaper. A onesie or just a diaper are the popular choices. This is entirely up to you. If you don’t mind the clothes getting messy your child can be dressed in an outfit for this portion as well.
  • Not all children will play in the cake; some children will actually spend more time eating the cake. There is also the possibility that you child will want very little to nothing to do with the cake, it’s OKAY! You will still have adorable images to choose from!
